1st Fashion & Tech Week Paris
Located in the heart of Paris' Sentier quarter, NUMA, the flagship organism for all things innovation and digital, is taking advantage of Fashion Week Paris to promote relationships and enable fruitful discussions between the worlds of fashion and technology. Extraordinary experiences await, not to mention a first for Paris, which might just also become the new tech capital of the fashion world, or is it new fashion capital of the tech world...?
With 80 000 visitors since its Grand Opening in November 2013, NUMA has quickly become the hub around which innovative doers gravitate. As the driving force behind the tech ecosystem in Paris, NUMA has brought together thousands of people for events on subjects as wide-ranging as foodies and hacking, not to mention the media and sport. There have been countless, widespread ramifications, with barriers being broken down in their stride.
From the 22nd to the 28th of September 2014, NUMA – in conjunction with Parsons Paris, Fashion Technology Lab and Fashion Capital Partners – will address the impact of new technologies on the fashion industry: Accessories, jewelery, e-textiles, light-painted dresses, 3D printing, innovative business models… What are the next innovation opportunities in the sector? What shape will be the next evolutions take? How can the use of technology in the fashion world be increased, and by doing so enable new forms of creation to scale up? What new use cases can we expect? What part will innovation play in this revolution?
